*yawn* Happy April!!

What a busy, fun weekend we had! We got to the Baltimore zoo right about opening on Saturday. So we got good parking and the zoo wasn't too busy yet. The zoo seems a little more run down than when we went 3 yrs ago. We still enjoyed it though. Something must have been in the air because I swear it seemed like every animal there was getting their groove on. The kids didn't seem to pay mind to it but geesh. Really what else is there to do if you are stuck in a cage all day huh? We left there and checked into the hotel. It was a really nice place. We lounged around a bit and got in the pool. We went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. We got back to the room which had a king bed and a pull out sofa. We decided to rent a movie and all get in the king to watch it and have popcorn. We rented "Night at the museum". Very cute. Well we put the kids on the sofa bed which we realized quickly was NOT a good idea. They were giggling and playing etc etc. So we put Claire in the king bed with us. Brenden then cried because he felt left out so I got in bed with him. Around 1 a.m I woke up and got in bed with Kevin and Claire. Well a 1:30 Miss Claire wakes up and the child did NOT go BACk to sleep till between 3:30-4. She played and talked and kept us awake in the bed. We were NOT happy! So she falls back asleep and Brenden is up about 6:45. We tell him to go back to sleep and he starts crying...LOUDLY. So we were up at 7. We got showers/baths and went downstairs to have breakfast, which was provided by the hotel and pretty good as well. Anyway we went to the Inner Harbor to the aquarium. It's such a cool place....except when you have a VERY pissy 3 yr old with you. You can't take your stroller in with you which was a bummer. We were there almost 3 hrs and I was ready to leave after 10 mins. Claire whined and cried the WHOLE damn time. She's want me, then daddy etc etc. It was awful. Of course she did not nap on Sat and she only got like 6 hrs of sleep when she is used to atleast 10.So it was hellish to say the least! We left right after lunch. We decided to just go to McD's because I am not one to take a whiney/crying kid to a nice restaurant. Your Welcome. So we were in the car on the way home and 5 mins into the drive the girl was out. We got home and relaxed, Kev took a nap and we decided to go out to dinner. We went to the local Olive Garden and invited my inlaws. They don't like the place because of the service. I had never really had problems till last night. We were told 15 min wait well after 30 mins I asked about us and they were like opps we skipped over your name. Ok no big deal, Well we all ordered soup, salad and breadsticks except FIL who ordered Spaghetti. So I am thinking oh good this will be quick. NOT! You would have thought we were invisible. She brought us out the salad and never came to see if we needed more drinks or anything. MIL finally got a bus boy to get her some water. Kevin went to get a manager and she went to the back and brought us our food. It took an hour to get our food. We got the meal free and only we had to pay for the wine that MIL and I got. That was nice of them but the manager didn't even come by to say she was sorry or anything. It was crazy. So we were there in all a little over 2 hrs. So it is now boycotted which sucks because I like the food. If we go to another ciy though I'd go there. I am trying to decded if I should email the company. Anyway the trip was good although yesterday was rough. This morning I got Brenden to school and Claire and I went to Old Navy to get me some more flip flops. The cat tore my other up. Turd. So there ya have it! Now time to show you the "characture" pics we had done of the kids.. I couldn't get all of it to fit on the scanner...

My two cents? EMAIL THE COMPANY. Emailing or filling out a survey online has been one of my new things - I always email a company after dining with them - positive or negative. They really do use the feedback.

Our Olive Garden is awful, too. They offered us $50 in credit and we still haven't gone back. It was THAT bad of an experience.
