Kindergarten!!!
Well Brenden was just SO excited this morning. He was up before 7!lol Kevin couldn't go with us to take him for his frst day so he made Brenden's favorite Mickey Mouse pancakes, eggs and sausage this morning. He didn't eat too much because he was just so excited. He was fine when we left and I was doing ok till we got in the car. As we went to drive off Claire started crying and saying his name. That tore me up. I drove home wih blurry eyes form the tears. We are doing fine now though and I am enjoying the quiet!lol I find myself looking at the clock and wondering what he is doing though. He has a buddy named Jordan in his class so that makes me happy. This morning when we saw Jordan, Jordan ran over to B and asked if he wanted to play kickball at recess. I think I love Jordan! LOL So anyway all is good. Here are a few pics from this morning. One thing that hit me also was not being able to share this day with my dad. That made my heart hurt.Ok and here they are!
Jordan is diagonal fron B in this pic. I hope there's not alot of "Brenden stop turing around to talk to Jordan" all day!lol

Monday Monday!
I went to the gym this morning at 6 for my lower body strength training class. It felt great but it whipped my butt! One of the ladies in the class lives on the next street over from us so maybe she and I can take some walks together etc... This weekend was good. Kev's class on Saturday was canceled so he was home. I went to a few yard sale's Saturday morning. I found a few things for Claire for fall and a couple things for Brenden. It was nice because I hate paying full price for clothes when I know they will outgrow them soon although we did have to drop full price for Brenden's school uniform's which was fine. Yesterday we had nursery at church and went to a Baby dedication luncheon after church for some close friends of ours. That was really nice. I hit the gym about 5 yesterday and Kevin took care of cooking dinner. Well Brenden is now up and wanting to eat an apple. He is hoping that biting down into it will make his loose tooth come out. Anything for a little money huh?! lolBig Brother was good last night. I literally was laughing out loud at the food comp! George wanted that one week food pass SO bad! It was just so funny watching him jumping on everyone to get the "nectar" out and Will's comments made me laugh even more. Oh, and how cute and Will and Janelle together?!

Happy Hump day!!
The week is almost over! I went to the gym at 6:30 this morning. I only did my cardio stuff for 30 mins. My legs are still sore from yesterday so I had to push to get it done!lol Tomorrow I will just do some strength training. I also decided to have no more soda atleast for a while, so I haven't had any in a couple weeks now. Later today I think I will take the kids to Target to get Brenden's school supplies and we will probably hit the park as well. Saturday Kevin has a training class so he'll be gone from 7 to 5 or so. Sucks for a saturday! Sunday we have nursery at church during the 2nd service. Some friends of ours are having their baby dedicated that day so we will stay after church for a luncheon. I need to vaccum and mop the kitchen and living room at some point today.
Ok as for BB7, Will is totally playing Janie and vice versa but as long as she stays longer I don't care!lol I really think Chill town will be F2. I am just hoping Janie can make it to F3 with them!:)
That being said....
Is he the whinest baby ever or what?! SHEESH!!!

Met the teacher!
Ok well Kevin and I took Brenden to meet the teacher this morning. It went really well. He really likes her (as do I) and his classroom is so big! They have all kinds of stuff and even computers! I guess that just surprises me because when I was in Kindy EONS ago there were no computers in the room. Anyway we got a list of things he needs to bring which is very small. Apparently the school system supplies most of it. The school was so nice and Brenden was really just giddy. He had already been familiar with a couple kids in the class as he has played with them at the playground so that was good. One little boy looked relieved when he saw Brenden. His mom said he was really nervous and scared. All the kid's got to ride the school bus on a little 10 minute run. Brenden won't be riding the bus but he will during field trips so I let him go. He was really excited about that. He said he sat next to a girl. I said well did you ask her name and he said "No, but I told her she had on a nice shirt and she said thanks!" lol How cute is that. Is he charming the ladies already? Hmmmmmmmmm We got back home a little after 10 and we went BACK at 11:45 so his teacher could test him to see what all he knew. They were done really quick. She said he knew everything and that was awesome. She said he should breeze by in kindergarten so that was nice to hear. Let's just hope that little jabber mouth can stay quiet when he is supposed to!lol So anyway he is even more excited for school and I think we may go get supplies tomorrow evening.As a a side note, I thought I was feeling good after the gym and surprised I wasn't more sore, let me tell ya I am feeling it in my legs now! YOUCH!!lol

Go me!
I was up at 5:30 to get to the gym by 6:00 for my total fitness workout. There were 3 other ladies in the class and Tim was our trainer. I really like him. He was very nice and friendly. Easy on the eys too *cough* What? He said I should be in better shape in no time and that I wasn't in bad shape right now.(YEAH RIGHT!!lol) I'd just like to get rid of these last few lingering lbs from pregnancy. We worked out from 6-7 and I stayed till 7:30 to ride the bike more. I really feel good and energized. I just need a shower as I feel really yucky. I was surprised at how busy the gym was at 6. The 3 other ladies in the class will be coming at 6 in the mornings too so I am happy about that! Atleast I'll feel like I know someone and have someone to talk to. So that's all good.At 8:30 Kev's dad is coming over to stay with Claire and at 9 we go meet Brenden's teacher etc.. Brenden is so thrilled about that. Last night we had a new sitter come over to watch the kids. I really like her and I'll have to get Brenden's opinion when he gets up. Kev and I went to the new Irish pub in town. I wasn't that impressed. I prefer the other Irish pub. After that we went to Barnes and Noble and had coffee and carrot cake at the Starbucks inside the B&N and then we just looked around at different books. So we left there and went to a local bar( not a smokey, yucky bar) and had a night cap. We were home and in bed by 10!! We are wild people I tell ya! LOL
If you read this and remember please send some prayers over to my sister. She had her kids for the summer and now they are going back to their dad's for the school year and it's always SO hard when they leave, for all of them! :-(

Benchwarmers....

The gym is going pretty good. I have a class there tomorrow morning at 6. I tell ya there are all kinds of people that come in there but yesterday this older man (70ish) came walking in with some WAY too short shorts. I was waiting for the family jewels to make an appearance. YUCK! It was seriously bad and his socks were up to his knees. It sure was a sight!lol
Also tomorrow Kev and I are taking Brenden to meet his teacher and see his classroom etc. He is so excited and the closer it gets the more excited I get! WOOHOO! Of course I'll be that mom crying as soon as I get in the car after dropping him off for his first day. You better not laugh at me either!;-)
Tonight we have a sitter coming over so we can go try out the new Irish pub downtown. Not sure what we'll do afterwards but we'll figure something out. :-)

TGIF!!
Can it really be friday again already?!!
Yesterday I had one of those days! Maybe it is just me being a hormonal woman but BLAH! The kids were making me nuts. this doesn't happen often but all they wanted to do were fight with each other and not share and SCREAM!I got some housework done yesterday and I mopped the kitchen etc and Claire decides to throw her applesauce on the floor. I was not a happy mama! Kevin got home from work and he took the kids out for a while. I needed the "me" time badley!
I went over to the gym and joined! I am so excited about that. They open really early so I think I will try to go at 6 in the mornings and be home before Kev goes to work and still have plenty of time to get Brenden up and ready for school!
So anyway I called my friend Karen after I went to join the gym and we went to Target. I wanted to get new workout clothes. We also made a stop at Starbucks. It was just what I needed to help me relax from my day. I feel much better today. I think I will go to the gym tonight when Kev gets off work just to get on the treadmill and feel the place up so to speak. Not really much else going on today!:)

Puppy Chow!!
This stuff is WAY too good! I am gobbling away though!:-)
INGREDIENTS:
9 cups crispy rice cereal squares
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
DIRECTIONS:
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate; add peanut butter and mix until smooth.
Remove from heat, add cereal and stir until coated.
Pour powdered sugar into large plastic bag, add coated cereal and shake until well coated. Store in airtight container.
*I just melted the chocolate and PB in the microwave...*

Thursday.....
and I have a case of the blahs. My tummy is bothering me and I just want to lay in bed! Darn IBS!! Anyway Brenden had his kindergarten physical yesterday. He is 48 in. and 55 lbs. Everything looked good but his eyesight was 20/25. The doc suggested taking him to the eye doc to have his eyes checked again. He passed the vision test at preschool last year but we'll have it checked anyway. So we are glad his physical went well. I tell ya I have never seen a kid so excited to pee in a cup. He just thought that was SO funny.I woke up this morning to see a Terror plan had been thwarted (atleast I hope it was). Kevin is flying to Fl in Oct for business and that made my tummy twirl. I am supposed to fly in Sept but I am not sure if I am going. Brenden totally had a melt down when I told him and the trip is on his 2nd day of school plus with the new warnings about flight travel I am not sure it's gonna work for me to go. *Sigh* I haven't bought my ticket yet and I fear they may have went up another $100 by now. I want to go to the beach with my best friend though! Anyway that's really all that's going on around here. I need to go make the beds and go to the grocery so I can get a few things for the chicken salad I am making tonight. YUM YUM. I made chicken pockets last night and they were SO good. Ok off I go!
Oh and tonight is Big Brother night! YIPEE!!!!
Also I finally got my satelite radio. We got it before we left for vacation. I LOVE it! The kids watched DVD's on the dvd player and Kevin and I jammed out to a TON of 80's tunes! WOOHOO! We are dorks!! LOL

Poor widdle bunny.....
Ok last night as we were finishing unloading tha car etc, Kev saw a little bunny in the driveway. It was hurt and Kev saw a cat running away from it. He ran and grabbed a old towel and got the bunny. It was so tiny and you could tell he (the bunny) was in shock. Kevin is such an animal person. He was all talking baby talk to it and everything. I said do NOT name it and go put it back in the yard.lol He put it in a box to let it "recoup" for a little bit and he put it back outside. It took off and hopefully he is all cozy with his mommy now......

We're back!
We got in yesterday about 6:30. We had a really nice time down in North Carolina. We got to see the family which was really nice. We stayed really busy for the most part. My mom watched the kids for us so we could go to a Bed and Breakfast for some alone time this past Thursday night. It was GREAT! We walked around downtown and went to a really cool Irish pub for dinner and drinks. After that we went to see Pirates of the Carribean 2. I had just seen the first one earlier in the week. It was pretty good. We then went back to the B&B and soaked in the big whirlpool tub. One night we went out with my cousin and her hubby to a "fun depot" type place. We played mini golf and laser tag. We also got in the batting cages and climbed the "rock wall". The free babysitting was great and my mom realy enjoyed the kids. She cried when we left Sunday morn. Usually she doesn't cry but she did this time. :-( The weekend we got there ALL of the family was there. All 20 of us spent that first weekend together at my mom's. Now that was fun. All of us girl's just stayed up late and talked and laughed our heads off. It was a good time. I have a few pics up on my flickr that I took. Not alot of anything but they are there none the less!:-)
